TEAS EXAM HELP!

Nursing Students TEAS

Published

Hello! I am currently a pre-nursing student. I am about to take ATI test for Nursing program. However, I have no idea of ATI. I was searching on google and found out that TEAS is part of ATI? So, does that mean I can study by using TEAS books for ATI test?

Also, in ATI testing, is there math, science, English questions like TEAS? So basically ATI questions will be general critical thinking questions or critical thinking questions applied to nursing situations? HELP ME OUT! PLEASE I AM AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT, SO MY ENGLISH IS NOT ENOUGH GOOD. IT WILL BE VERY TOUGH FOR ME TO TAKE THE TEST.

So is there any books to prepare ATI critical thinking test??/

While there are study guides for the TEAS and other ATI assessments, there are no specific books for ATI's 40 question critical thinking assessment. It seems it would be similar to studying for a test of logic or an IQ assessment.

There are books available from other sources on how to build critical thinking skills, but none specifically exist for the ATI critical thinking assessment.

The Critical Thinking Exam isn't even discussed on the ATI solutions website. You would need to go back to your school for clarification and resources.

So basically ATI critical thinking Exams are general critical thinking or critical thinking that applies to nursing stuff?

Honestly, it seems general based upon the post above from another member. There is no information on the ATI site, I was not required to take the exam personally.

Look at post #8. It seems a mix of both nursing assessment, but if this is given as a pre-entrance examination it would have to be more broad critical thinking skills to see where you are at a baseline.

Since you said that English is difficult for you as it is not your first language, you might consider using some reading comprehension resources to brush up on your interpretation and context clues to help you to determine what the questions are asking of you.

Maybe some logic puzzle books would help  But in all seriousness, logic puzzles could be helpful in looking at the big picture to determine prioritization and context clues...they helped with some of the critical thinking problems I had in nursing skill and didn't seem like work to me.

Again, check back with your nursing program to ensure you are preparing in the best way possible for the exam they are requiring. There is very little information available on the critical thinking test as a pre-entrance assessment and it isn't even mentioned on the ATI website like the TEAS and other products are. Good luck.
