Hello am new here! I have been teaching CNA classes for years but I am now going to be doing a pre CNA class for ESL students! Not sure where or how to start? I have the book but not sure how to go about even beginning or what to do? any suggestion? The reason I am doing this now is due to a health issue I have to cut back hours and still want to do something to feel I am working and doing something with my life! thanks

Since they are ESL students, start with medical terminology to include the names of equipment & their use.

How does an RN start in the Instructor phase of teaching nurses aide....I seem to be having difficulty.....where do I begin to look or do I have to get an instructors license first? I live in Northern Virginia.....I am new here.....just need someone to place me on the starting line on a possible online course? or going to a facility to learn? .....thanks

Well, nurses aids do very basic nursing skills like bed making, and bathing right,? I think it works be helpful to teach them in multiple ways because everyone one learns different. Give them a lecture about bed making, then give them homework or fine dirt of diagram/quiz they can do, then finally do the hands on. That way you have covered everyone's learning style. As RNs they don't teach how to teach in academia. If you feel you need a formal teaching course go for it, what I did was seek bout mentors, such as previous instructors.
