TCU Fall 2020

Published

Hey guys,
I applied to Texas Christian University Traditional BSN program. I'm a transfer student. TCU is my top choice but I have also applied to TCC, Midwestern State and Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth. TCU should be sending decisions soon hopefully. If anyone is in the same boat as me waiting for TCU, post on the thread. If you applied to the TCU accelerated program you should also post. Waiting is driving me crazy!
My Stats
HESI - Cumulative Score: 87.6% Highest score is Math: 96% Lowest Score is A&P: 80%
My GPA: 4.0

I applied to UTA. Got accepted there, but I have to take the pre-nursing courses still before I can apply for Spring 2021 at UTA (from my understanding)

Spring 2021 BSN program

@FutureLandDnurse I’m thinking about there, but do you apply for the school first before the program? I’ve heard you’ve had to take their Pre nursing courses but WASNT sure how many

Yes, you have to apply to the school first and there are 3 nursing courses. Which they suggest to take at their campus and they suggest to not take all 3 at once.

I am looking into TCU for 2021. Where did you all do your transfer credits? Anyone know if they accept credits from Portage Learning (Geneva College)?

@CSesh I'm currently at Tarrant county college.

OK. So not sure about Portage then? Thanks.

Nope. Not certain.

They have a transfer equivalency tool. That's what I used and I just put my classes in and it told me whether they accepted it or not. I believe its on their page about transfers. Hope this helps!

@jannellmateoI've been looking for that transfer tool for a while. Can't find it on their website.

Hi, I just tried to put the link, but it wouldn't let me add it. If you Google course transferability TCU it should be the first link.

@jannellmateohey thanks! That is a great tool. I bookmarked it. However Portage/Geneva College is not listed. Guess I'll wait on advising to answer. Thanks!
