I know TCU is really expensive however, someone is applying ... right? I am going to apply just to see what happens. I am applying as a transfer student, 3.76 overall GPA... working on increasing my science GPA from 3.50. There is information on the TCU site, but not a lot. Can anyone tell me what their selection process or trend for acceptance GPA wise is? How is the program for those who were accepted? What were the stats for those who were wait-listed in the past? What are your stats for those who are applying?
This post is for hopefuls and current students with information to share.
Hi everyone I am new to this forum
I am also applying for TCU fall traditional program. My stats are
3.5 Science
3.7 overall
84 Hesi
I hear a lot of people refering to Midwestern(MSU) on here, can any one tell me how far it is from Dallas TX and how is their program + tutition rates.
I also applied to my current school UTA and Ut Tyler if any one have any question
Hi Keven! I'm applying to MSU as well, I live in fort worth and the school is 2 hours from me. The program is also 5 semesters, and I assume it is way cheaper than TCU, but I'm not for sure about the exact tuition rates. The school base there acceptance off of a point system with a minmum of 80 percent score needed on the math and english composition HESI scores.
Thank you Nursingqueen2b , I think im good with my hesi score and pre req with them. I check its 2 1/2 hr from me. I also read that they have an accelerated program that starts in summer do you happen to know how long the program last 1 year perhaps or 15 months? Did you apply to UTA also since you live in forth worth its not too far way
I'm not for sure about the accelerated! I would email them they respond quickly!! I was planning on applying to several more schools including UTA and UT-Tyler, but I did not take the pre-nursing class such as patho and intro to nursing that is required, so I just applied to programs that did not require any pre nursing courses, just pre reqs!
You can take nursing pre req like pathophysiology n pharm. In the summermester they do offer it but im not sure about intro nursing. N reason y midwestern doesnt require those because its part of their nursing program semesters ,instead of taking before you enter the program you ll take it when you start. UT TYLER only require 2 pre nursing course I dont know too much about their school but I have heard nothing but good stuff about them
Right! I already had classes to take in the fall and this semester so I couldn't fit those pre nursing courses in my schedule. I know the other schools like TCU and Midwestern I applied to have those courses apart of the curriculum which was perfect for me since I dot have to have those classes before applying!
