Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew how hard it is to get into TCC's ADN program? I am hoping to get into in the Spring of 08'. After this coming fall semester, I will have taken every one of the required pre-reqs and I am taking the NET test next Sat. on July 14. However, my gpa is merely a 2.49,(I spent 3 years as English Ed. major, and it really hurt me!):trout: and a 2.5 is required. Now I am confident that it will be a 2.5 even after my summer classes are over, and I have talked to the nursing program about it and they have strongly encouraged me to go ahead with applying, which I do intend to do. And all of my pre-reqs have been completed with A's and B's thus far. Im just wondering if I have a chance at all with my gpa not being higher? I really hope I do, but who knows, right? lol, well Im rambling now, so I'll go, thanx!

I think that you have just as much of a chance as anyone else, maybe more because you have all of your pre-req's done. I was going to apply for fall of 2006 but, they required that you have a CNA and I was lacking that. I kept taking classes and ended you graduating this past May. Now, I have been accepted into the Langston program in Tulsa.
I was just so afraid of being turned down at TCC because of the LARGE number of applicants that are well qualified to go there. I would have been devastated at the thought of having to wait another few months to apply again. I know a girl that applied three times and was turned down three times. ( I think there must be more to the story then what she's telling me!). But, with 150-200 people applying and only like 80 spots to fill, it's competetive! (correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I've heard). I know that they have done some changes to there program, so maybe it's better. I really hope you do apply there, but also consider applying at the same time to other local nursing programs as a back up! Time is ticking and it would be a shame to have taken all those classes and then you can't do anything with them.
Good luck!!!! Kim
