Well I called about 3 week ago and, I was told that everyone that submitted passing test scores would be invited to orientation, so I then asked on what date would orientation be held, and I was told on Nov, 12!! Which is one day after the deadline to submit test scores. Unless they have moved it back!! But based on that, It seems funny to me that they would be still accepting applications after orientation!!!

No, the packet that I received had info about the nursing program also!!! It just contained the applications to the school and nursing program, fasa info, and letters of recommendations forms.

I guess I need to call them today & let them know that I didn't receive any information about the program. I'm going to ask them about orientation too. Because the person I spoke to last week said that you have to have your nursing packet completed & returned to the school in order to be invited to the orientation. So I had assumed that orientation would be after November 20th since that is the deadline on the nursing packet. I'm so confused!

Sorry I meant to say that the packet that received had no info about the nursing program.

Okay....this is what I received in the mail.

1) Dear Candidate (letter)

2) Financal Aid Info (letter)

3) Application For Enrollment

4) 3 Reference letters

5) Practical Nursing Program Application (5 pages long)

Did you receive any information not listed above?

Also, the "Dear Candidate" letter states that candidates completing all requirements will be invited to orientation (which includes the nursing packet information they mailed to us). The deadline for those requirements is November 20th.

No, I'm going to call them tomorrow morning and ask them about orientation. Also, can you tell me what the 5th page is on the Practical Nursing Program Application? I have pages 1 through 4 but I don't have page 5 of 5. I'm not sure if they failed to send it to me or if the 5th page is considered the 3 reference letters.

I will have to look at it when I get home tonight to to be certain. I don't remember exactly, I know there was a page for personal info, a page that that asked for references, a page that ask to give summary as to why you want to be a nurse in 250-300 words or less, a page that ask for a signature at the end, and I remembered a page that asked if you have ever committed a crime, and the have you ever committed a crime page may have also included the reference info. That's what I remember!!

Great, thank you! That's exactly what I have. Maybe they meant the references as page 5 of 5. I received a total of 10 pages.

Well, I just got a call this morning from TCAT Ripley and they wanted to know if I was still interested in the practical nursing program because they hadn't received any of my paperwork from the nursing packet.

I told them I had to wait a few days because my transcripts had to be mailed to me so that delayed me sending the packet. However, I told them that I had mailed the entire nursing packet yesterday and they should receive it today. I sent it with a tracking number so I could ensure the packet makes it to the school.

I was surprised that the school called me to follow up on my nursing packet. I mean that was very nice of them to do so and I'm certainly not complaining but it makes me wonder if they really are short on qualified applicants.

But anyways, they still haven't confirmed a date for orientation. I'm wondering if we are going to get a call after November 20th about orientation since the 20th is the final day to have the nursing packet in.

I feel like I've been waiting so long for orientation and confirmation on being accepted into the program but it really hasn't been that long. I'm so eager to get started that I can hardly stand it. I guess it's hurry up and wait until then.

I'm thinking they are in need of more applicants also!! I call the school about a week ago to inquire about an orientation date, and I was told that they are waiting til after November 20 to set a date. I do know that the Memphis tcat has already had their orientation, they have already started accepting student!! Memphis also has a class starting in January!!
