I'm trying to get into one of the Tcat LPN programs in the west tn area. I took the compass test about a week ago in Jackson and pass.I have applied to the Ripley school because they are the only school that has a new class starting in January 2016 to my knowledge, and that's close to me. If im not accepted in Tcat Ripley, I do plan on applying for all the other Tcat schools that are with in a 30 mile radius of Jackson. Just hoping and praying that I am accepted!!
So I applied to the program starting in Jan 2017. The deadline was this passed Friday, Nov 20. They said they would be calling people this week for orientation. It's Tuesday already and I've heard nothing. Since Thanksgiving is this week, either today was the last day of the week for them or tomorrow will be. The girl in student services originally lost my transcripts, but I had them resent before the deadline. I completed and turned everything in the beginning of October. I called today and the lady said the director had all the files but that orientation was set for Monday Nov 28. If I don't hear anything, should I just show up? It's my understanding all who applied is invited to orientation? Thoughts?
So, I got an email just a few mins ago from Ms. Bratschi stating that orientation would be on December 5 at 9 am. There are 41 people on the email list so I'm guessing 41 people applied. I know they usually select 20-24 people. My compass scores were 93 in Reading and 74 in math. I've had AP1 & stats already. I had a high C in AP1 (78) and high B in stats. 89.6! (If he would have rounded, I'd had an A! lol) I'm currently taking AP2 & micro & have a B average now in both classes with only 2 exams left. I'm also already a CMA. Just wondering how likely those factors mentioned will help me be accepted. Anyone from previous program have odds on me getting in? Thanks! I hate waiting!
Your compass scores are great. And if you have already taken A&p at community college or university than you can transfer your grade's and you will not have to take it again. Just make sure you make it to orientation, and get every thing in ontime. You'll make it. Good luck with everything. Also, they don't do interview's anymore so your transcripts and compass scores are a big factor.
Also on my transcripts, it states that I am currently an Honors Student with a GPA of 3.33. It has to be between 3.0-3.5 to make the Honor Roll & receive Honors scholarship which I did. I'm just hoping all these things play in my favor. I have already turned everything in that I know of thus far! Send good vibes my way pls!
