I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.
Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)
Since they only look at our science GPA everyone has been posting that and their HESI score. Then the school averages your scores to rank you. So 3.75 GPA and 92 HESI= 93.75+92= 185.75/2= 92.875. If there's a tie and they can only accept one more they use your math HESI.
On the application they didn't ask for HESI overall, it was listed individual. I heard mention of a spreadsheet, where all 5 scores are inputted and ranked that way.
As for the JPS being chosen, I find it extremely unfair for any 'outsider' to be passed over (especially if the JPS had lower scores) simply because of them being a JPS member. I have stressed and put in many sleepless nights to earn my 4.0 science GPA and 4.0 overall GPA (associate's prerequisites all completed and now working on bachelor's prerequisites). I think everyone who applies should be treated equal. Do good, work hard, get the best grades = get accepted.
Hopefully we will find out soon.
Congrats [COLOR=#003366]rachel_nicole!! That's good news for someone like me who is expecting to be listed as an alternate... I hope that's not too selfish of me!!

I think it was ktm89 for from fall 2013 that told us how they average your score. And then my friend asked how they break a tie and she said they look at your math Hesi.
