Welcome! I thought it was time to start a new thread for TCC fall 2013 applicants and future hopefuls. I've followed the past 2 threads for TCC and there are at least a handful of us finishing up pre-requisites this summer and fall.

I found out some information today that I thought I would share.

I was under the impression that we did not need our vaccines completed until at least orientation, if accepted. When I turned in my application, I was told this again. Today I received an email, and was told thar all vaccines must be completed by the application deadline. Not sure if you were all aware, but just wanted to make sure you know!!

I hope that's not the case! I have my last Hep B in April! I'm taking my HESI tomorrow and turning my application in so I'll be sure to ask about it.

"I was informed by the director of nursing that she needs to see all immunizations complete at the time of application. I’m sorry about the confusion."

That was the reply that I recieved... I'm missing a vaccine as well. If you hear otherwise, please let us know!

I emailed the school and was told all should be done at the time of the application except for the last Hep B. Also, have you guys done your physical examination or are you waiting until being officially accepted?

I just took my HESI and got a 95.5! I was told once you're accepted they'll send a form for your physical, so I haven't done it yet

Hmm. Is the last hep. b the only one you have left to get out of all the immunizations? I'm just worried because I need to hurry and get that flu shot.
