Any suggestions for tar removal on a severly burned patient, without doing further damage?

We're using "Liquid paraffin" for removing tar, try it and you will get amazing result without further damage to the skin.

problem with mayo is possible egg alergy

We use mineral oil here. I'm surprised there are units that use mayo for burn care. Talk about a huge medium for bacteria growth, aren't our patients compromised enough?

mayo is great for gum in the hair too. ha. i cannot believe it was used as a long-term dressing... ha. dressing. i love burns.
