TAMUCC Spring 2012

Published

Hi everyone I didnt see a thread for TAMUCC spring 2012 so I thought I would start one. Does anyone have an idea what the average GPA and HESI score to get in is? I cant seem to find this information anywhere. Also when will we get acceptance letters? I can't wait anymore!!! :nurse:

Cdrouin89: I have many friends that live down there that love it. They haven't had any problems with crime yet but they say they always make sure to bring anything valuable from their cars inside the house with them. Also the area around the University is pretty safe. You can google crime rate in Corpus Christi and see where the bad parts are.

I can not wait any longer!!! Does anyone know when we get our lettes?! And do we get emails too?

You know, now that I think about it. When I went to the advisors in April of last semester they were still working on it. So, I would imagine we'd find out in October or November, : (

I just e-mailed the advisors and they said we should hear something in October.

Wow that stinks :( Last year they found out on september 7th... thought we would aroung the same time!

ME TOO!!!!!!!! Congratulations to you cdrouin89! I'll be seeing you in January! :)))

Congratulations! I got in too, yay! So, let me ask; do you think getting a student loan is a bad idea?

Woot! I guess I'll see all of you in Spring.

Congrats to yall! I am applying for the summer 2012 program. I take the Hesi next weekend and I am pretty nervous!! I'm not too worried about the English, reading, and math sections (because I've read that those sections are pretty straightforward. But I am worried about A&P, Chem, and Physics.. I've never even taken a physics course! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi oliveoil351! Don't worry about studying the physics section. There won't even be a section on that on the test. A&P was the toughest for me but only because I hadn't taken Physiology yet. My previous school divided the course into human anatomy and human physiology. If you've taken a&p 1 and did pretty well then you'll do just fine! All the other sections are easy! Even chemistry is really basic. Make sure to study the vocabulary words you don't know in the study guide. That saved me. Good luck on the exam and also on getting into the program!!

@caytamucc,

Thanks for replying and for the advice! I did well in my A&P classes but... I don't remember everything. If you don't mind me asking what were your scores for the Hesi and your GPA? Since you already got accepted maybe it will give me a hint at what my scores should be. Again thanks and goodluck!! :)
