TAMUCC Fall 2017 Accelerated BSN

Published

I didn't see a thread for Fall 2017- anyone else applying for Fall?

I take the HESI next week and have been studying like crazy!

I know it is a competitive program, I am super nervous!

Does anyone know when they will start notifying students of acceptance/rejection?

Those are great stats! Im anxious too, my advisor said they review the candidate's on march 28th so I think we should start hearing about acceptance/rejections in april....?? Im nervous about my gpa, hopefully my other scores will help me out :)

HI yall, i also applied for the fall, but not for the accelerated, i applied for just the traditional BSN pathway. my chances are great, my gpa is a 3.1 and science gpa is a 2.75

Hesi overall was a 84

Reading 96

CT-870

im retaking my micro which will boost me up so i can ready to apply and get accepted in the spring, but i applied for fall cohort because you just never know! good luck to yall, they meet march 28 and letters will be mailed out a few weeks after that so april sometime is when we should hear something!

My science GPA is the same as well because of micro (only C I have), which sucks. I called an advisor and she calculated my overall for the past 60 hours, which is a 3.8. So hopefully that helps.

Oh yeah, you are golden for sure!

I don't feel like I am haha if my science GPA were higher I'd feel a bit better. But my Hesi was ok-ish (86 overall, 94 on reading and 850 on CT). The advisor said that was competitive, so I'm just praying. Have you talked to an advisor?

You are applying for the accelerated path right?

Yeah, I've been bugging mine all semester lol, he tells me the fall has the most applicants so if I don't get in, then to just keep trying basically. After I finish micro (I'm taking nothing less than an A in that class) my science gpa will be a 4.0 and my overall will be a little higher too and with my 83 hesi score, 96 reading and 870 CT i SHOULD be okay for next go around lol lol

this is so stressful lol

but I am positive you'll be fine. You hesi is good and your gpa is great. You got it!

Yes I am I graduated with my bachelors spring 16

Good luck to you! At least you are working to get your science GPA up. Something I should have done, I just really didn't want to take micro over again. I def don't feel secure especially knowing the fall has the most applicants, but thank you for giving me hope! Praying í ½í¹í ¼í¿¾

I was told that they generally accept about 100 applicants for the fall. I'm not sure if that's for just the traditional bsn or for all of their programs combined.

I think it's both traditional and accelerated combined

eek... only 100? I was hoping for more to better my chances :) :)

The waiting is going to be so stressful!

I was actually thinking that was a good amount but I don't know, maybe it's not. I came from a smaller school >_

no, it is probably a good amount, I think smaller schools probably take even less than 100. Im just nervous haha
