TAMUCC eline BSN Fall 2019

Hi! the application for the upcoming Fall semester is opening soon. Anyone else applying to the BSN e-line program at TAMUCC??

Yay I have been a viewer of others that have applied in the past and have finally applied myself for fall 2019. I have read in 2018 that decision letters get sent out March-April. Also read to register for the pharm courses by April in case decision letters get delayed so as not to miss out on those courses.

Hi guys I’m also applying to this program annnnddd this may be a silly question buuuuttttt do you guys think it would be harder to get a job as a nurse if you went to nursing school online? Like do you think hospitals, etc. prefer nurses who did not attend an online bsn program? I’m just wondering if you guys think we would get a better quality education online vs in person for nursing school?

No, it will not bar you from getting a job as a nurse. As long as the school is accredited by the two nursing associations (CCNE and ACEN (NLNAC), then most employers will hire you. The only concern I would have is if I went to a school whose NCLEX scores aren't so well and aren't accredited by those two associations above like some of these for-profit schools that don't mean a hill of beans but if you're going to TAMUCC's eline BSN, you're fine! :)

Hi @ThroughFaith! not a problem at all. I work as a tech in a hospital and administration is completely fine with the idea of an online BSN. Like @shauntil07 mentions, as long as the school is accredited we should be fine :) Nice to meet you all.

I just submitted my application! Does anyone know how long it takes for a decision to be made?

Last year they sent out decision letters March-April. Some people received an email and it went to spam, I've been checking my spam daily.

Jeeeeezzzzzeeeee this wait is really gonna be the most! I’m constantly checking my email. Did you guys get an email from the college saying they rec’d your application after you submitted it on nursing cas? Also, if I get in I’m hoping I can do my clinicals here in Austin❤️

I got three emails from nursingcas, first one was application submitted, transcript received, and last one coursework verified.
