TAMU college station spring 2018

Published

Hi everyone! I haven't seen a thread yet, but I wanted to see if anyone else was applying to TAMU for the spring of 2018.

I have almost a 3.3 GPA (darn you early college start, and teenage self!) but all the science pre reqs I've taken so far have been A's.

I took my hesi today (7/25/17) and walked out with:

accumulative: 91.60%

math: 96

reading comp: 90

grammar: 86

vocab: 94

A&P: 92

critical thinking: 870/1000

i wasn't aware that we needed to take personality and learning style until I left the testing center, so I didn't take those. I've emailed admissions and am really hoping those won't affect the admissions process.

Anyway, I thought this would be a great place to talk to each other throughout the next few months! Best of luck to all of you, and hopefully I'll see you in the spring!

My nursing cas app has disappeared? I haven't received an email and my application status still says complete and in review, is anyone else experiencing this?

Mine did about a month ago as well. NursingCAS doesn't deal with decisions, only the application process, even though the initial email from tamu months ago seems to tell otherwise. The email will come straight from tamu CON

Gotcha, thanks! I was confused cause people kept posting about checking nursingCAS

How do I see admissions decisions on NursingCAS?

Are you a Traditional or 2nd Degree applicant? The reason I said check with NursingCAS was last year all internal (attending or graduated from TAMU) found out through NursingCAS. They might have changed it for this year. They changed a lot.

Hey guys,

I'm planning on applying to the TAMU traditional BSN program for the 2018 Summer/Fall application as an internal applicant. For those that have been accepted for the traditional track what things beyond your GPA & HESI score such as extracurricular/volunteer experience (if any) did you have on your application?

I figured this would be the best place to ask related to the timing of everything.

Thanks!

I was involved in three different clubs on campus. I also volunteered and shadowed!

Definitely apply to volunteer at CHI St. Josephs in Bryan! I've been doing it for over a year and I love it! I'm doing it this semester just for fun! They are usually 3hr shifts once a week

Did anyone get accepted into the traditional program that applied externally? I got waitlisted and I applied externally. HESI 96.4 GPA 3.6~ 1000+ volunteer hours and a decent personal statement.

I still haven't gotten an email :/

I'm sure you will here something soon. Were you external or internal?

External

I feel like only having 24 spots and giving preference to internal applicants is going to make it nearly impossible to get in, but we should still be hopeful. :D Did you apply anywhere else?
