TAMU college station spring 2018

Published

Hi everyone! I haven't seen a thread yet, but I wanted to see if anyone else was applying to TAMU for the spring of 2018.

I have almost a 3.3 GPA (darn you early college start, and teenage self!) but all the science pre reqs I've taken so far have been A's.

I took my hesi today (7/25/17) and walked out with:

accumulative: 91.60%

math: 96

reading comp: 90

grammar: 86

vocab: 94

A&P: 92

critical thinking: 870/1000

i wasn't aware that we needed to take personality and learning style until I left the testing center, so I didn't take those. I've emailed admissions and am really hoping those won't affect the admissions process.

Anyway, I thought this would be a great place to talk to each other throughout the next few months! Best of luck to all of you, and hopefully I'll see you in the spring!

Howdy!

I applied for the traditional BSN for this coming spring. Here are my stats:

Overall GPA: 3.65

Prerequisite GPA: 3.48

Nursing science GPA: 4.00

HESI:

Cumulative: 95.6%

Reading: 92%

Grammar: 94%

Vocab: 94%

Math: 98%

A&P: 100%

Best of luck!! I'm sitting on pins and needles until October :)

Those are great! Good luck to you! I keep checking my email hopin for something!

Omg I check my email literally every day... I know the decision won't be until October but just incase 😂

Same here haha! I'm craving any type of information!

Howdy!

I also applied to the traditional BSN program for spring 2018 start. Here are my stats:

Overall GPA: 3.9

Prerequisite GPA: 3.88

Nursing science GPA: 4.0

HESI:

Cumulative: 94.8%

Reading: 96%

Grammar: 96%

Vocabulary: 96%

Math: 98%

A&P: 88% (I had only taken one semester of A&P prior to taking the HESI)

Critical thinking: 960

Good luck to everyone else applying! :)

Wow those are awesome stats... you're sure to get in!! My prerequisite GPA makes me nervous....

BTW does anybody know if we can check our admission status on NursingCAS or do we just wait for an acceptance/rejection letter??

They send you an email and a letter, A few days before they do that though it is visible through your portal thing under my commications/ letters whether you are accepted/denied/waitlisted

Does anyone know the usual time line for admission decisions?

Last year I applied and got my response for spring 2017 about october 25th ishhhh

Where is the portal? Is it on NursingCAS? I can't find it... :/

Central Authentication Service Not sure if this will take you directly to it, but they should have sent you an email about setting one up
