Keep looking! I know new grads have just been hired at St. Joesph's in Tampa. So keep trying and if you can get anyone to put in a good word that will certainly help you as well!!!

I agree you have to know someone & now it's going past a good word. The contact person needs to be extremely well connected or the new grad can FORGET it in Tampa. Everyone in their grandmother is calling in back favors to get people hired.

I am relocating from Orlando to Saint Pete. I found a job after about 2 weeks of searching. The key to success is calling to talk them. Show up if you have to. Try to set up an appointment with a manager. Many people I have talked to who don't have jobs, are not doing anything more than filling out apps online. I was rejected for the job that I got... I called and was then offered an interview.
Bottom Line... CALL!!
