Hi! I'm just wondering if anybody has information about the Nursing program that Keiser University offers in Tampa, FL!? My main goal is to become an RN in as short amount of time as possible with all the accreditations required to work at any given hospital (SACS, NLN). The cost is not a concern of mine- so please do not tell me it is too expensive! I have heard that the Tampa campus isn't fully NLNAC accredited YET, but will be within a short time. Does anybody know when this is supposed to happen? I refuse to begin a program unless it has everything I want the day I begin. Thank you for your time!! :) Taylor

Please check the NCLEX pass rates for Keiser in that location as I am unfamiliar with it. The pass rates at some Florida locations are rather poor.
For that reason, Keiser does not have a very good rep in the central Florida area.
Thank you. How do I look up the NCLEX for that campus. If keiser doesn't have a good rep in central florida, what would be a good alternative school to attend? Rasmussen, Itt Tech, Galen, etc.
This confuses me though, because my aunt is a head nurse in cocoa beach.. She has been a nurse for 25+ years and says that her best nurses come from the Keiser in Melbourne, Fl........
Google it - the florida department of health keeps stats on such.

Here's the NCLEX pass rate link http://www.doh.state.fl.us/MQA/nursing/info_RegN_July-Sept09.pdf
When you're looking for a nursing school, also consider how long the school has been offering a nursing program. If you look on the pdf above, Kaiser Tampa is not listed.
I went to Galen for PN, the school has an excellent reputation for both PN and RN. Galen also has great clinical sites which is something else you need to consider when choosing a school.
Buyer beware...its your money so make make sure you are going to get the education you are paying for.
You're right..Tampa campus isn't even listed on this website, but all others are.. I'll look into this! Thank you!
-- You said Glane is a good school....is it SACS and NLN accredited?
Galen has different accreditation but this only affects the colleges to which you want to pursue your BSN. Check out their NCLEX pass rate.

The Tampa Keiser campus just got the ok to start the program late 2009. That's the reason they are not listed in the NCLEX passing rate. This is the first semester they have ever offered the RN program. As far as cost goes, they are very expensive for just an AA in nursing.
