It is perfectly legitimate to get RX drugs out of Canada. I did so myself for some of the time that I was on Tamoxifen. The drug that is sent (via the post, and be sure to leave time for it to clear Customs) may have a slightly different name. At least one time I was sent "Tamofen"--same drug as Tamoxifen.
The cost to me was about 10% of what I would pay in the U.S.--and that was even with shipping.
There are websites that will help handle this business for you (or for DH's aunt) primarily by providing information, lookups, and forms to print, but the process still goes through a doctor and there is some paperwork, plus provision of a credit card number.
I hope this helps.
