I'm starting this thread to try and connect with anyone who may be applying for TCC's Nursing program for Spring of 2013. I just applied yesterday, and I'm nervous!
I'm taking Design I, Oceanography, American History, and Stress Management. My plan was to get my AA and my A.S in nursing. I too applied for radiology and respitory therapy. However I didn't know the math requirement for Radiology was MAC1105(I took MGF1106) so that's probably not going to happen.lol. And RT isn't until the Fall semester so I'll use it as a back up if I don't get in to the RN program this time or next fall. Wow Account, those are awesome scores! Congrats!
I'm applying for Spring '13 as well, and have no backup plan. I've been SO ready to quit my current job, I have no idea what I'm going to do if I don't get in. I originally was planning on going to FSU to do their ABSN program (I already have a BS in Finance...realized that was a mistake *after* graduation!), but they made several changes to the pre-reqs to the program, as well as post-poned admissions until Fall of 2013. I just couldn't wait that long. My pre-req GPA is 3.78 and my HESI score is 98, so I feel pretty good, but until I have that letter, I'm on pins and needles!
It is crazy how difficult it is to get in and how many people are trying. It is so incredibly frustrating the friends and family that keep asking why I am not in school yet. It's hard to really explain how hard it is and time consuming just trying to get into the nursing program is! I am completely in your boat!
I am curious if the HESI test consists of all eight sections or just the four considered for admission. When I checked TCC’s webside, it states that the four are whats considered for points, but does not say if that is all you are tested on. I am wondering only because I hope to take the test soon , but wanted to know if I can focus more study time on just the four sections or if I need to spend some time on all eight. Can anyone who has taken the test pass the info? Thanks

I'm not taking any classes this semester either. I also applied to the radiology program but, keeping my fingers crossed for nursing. The average was actually 146.42 average GPA of 3.64 and average Hesi score of 93.88% I know cause i applied not realizing you had to be completely done with pre reqs before applying and they put the averages in my denial letter. Accountant sounds like you're a shoe in with that score. I sure hope I get in with my 140.
