Tallahassee Community College Nursing Program

U.S.A. Florida

Hello,

Just wondering if there is anyone else looking at The ADN program at Tallahassee Community College. I have just talked to admissions and they only admit 40 students every Spring and Fall. I am taking the HESI A2, in May and applying for the school in Sept. to try and start the program in the Spring. Just wondering if anyone knows any info. on the program? Thank you!

I wish TCC looked at more than just GPA and HESI scores. I just got my letter congratulating me on making the Dean's List. Super excited about it, but it stinks it won't help me get in to the program, you know?

TallyMom, I heard it's already ofver 500. Can you believe that?! You would think community college prorams would be easier to get into than university's, but TCC is serious!

Lisa, I am about 8 classess away from my AA. I am not sure if I will pursue it or not. I am going to see how nursing school plays out first. I though about maybe taking some classes this summer, but I needed a break after the last two semesters, lol. And I figured if I am going to be bustin' toosh this fall in the program, I should enjoy this break while I have the chance!

Sorry, but this is an old post. I am a proud present nursing student. I would suggest to keep your core grades no lower than a B and if you have any Cs to retake the core course. Get a 90 or above on the HESI and you will for sure be accepted into the program. Taking the microb before the nursing program also was a good move because you see this area in the nursing pharm course and first part of nursing fundamentals. It is a hard program but top notch medical teaching facility. Good luck!
