As luck would have it, I closed on a nice home in the country Saturday. Sunday, I drove to Little Rock and spent the night for OR clinicals. Monday after clinicals, I hydroplaned and totaled my car. I was not hurt, neither was the driver of the other car. Yet, my car is gone. I've no money to get a new one right now and even if I did have a down payment, I couldn't afford the note.
So, I am withdrawing from school today. I will save money like crazy and buy a new car ASAP. Once I get another car, I'm going to try to get into another program. If not, I'll have to reapply at UAMS for fall '05 which will put me a full year behind.
All things happen for a reason. I suppose God has decided I need a break. So, fellow students carry on. Study hard and prosper. :stone

Glad to hear your alright.
Isn't there a way for you to continue via distance education or something? I am sure you looked into all options. All the best.

Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do. Good no one was hurt--and at least the house is some consolation!
How far did you get in your program and how many semesters (especially clinical) does your program take?
Maybe all is not lost....

Congrats on closing on your new home and so sorry to hear about your car accident. You know what decision is best for you. Take the time to enjoy setting up home and getting things back on track. All is never lost and it's never too late to follow your dreams when the time is right. :)

Can you take public transportation to clinicals, rather than dropping out (buses, taxis, etc.)? What about carpooling with friends?
