I am taking the test again tonight to improve on an "ok" score that I got last time. (The score is borderline...I may get in, may not). Just wanted to ask for some positive vibes tonight!

I'm sure the test is over by now, but you have my support. Nothing but good vibes over here! I'm sure you did great.

Yes, the test is over!!! I'm telling you, I'm not taking it ANYMORE!!! I'm so sick of it!!! :trout:

Ok...onto reality. I think I did ok, but still unsure about verbal. We shall see. You will have to let me know when you get your scores back...I'll post mine as well.

Last time I took my test on a Tuesday, I had my scores back that Saturday and I am hoping I will get them back then...if not, I'll have to wait til the 8th because we'll be out of town and I'm not going to have someone else read me my scores over the phone...I want to open the letter and read it for myself!

So, I'll let you know what I get when I get them!! YAY FOR US!!

I hope you did great and wish you lots of luck getting into the program!!!

I actually plan to take the exam sometime this semester. I know my biggest proble will be the 'word meaning' part of the test where you are expected to know the meanings of many words we dont usually use.

Please advice me on how to prepare for this part, and how you did it, if posible.

I would greatly appriciate it.

Thanks

That absolutely is the deal breaker for me as well!!

Well, the best thing I can suggest is getting the NLN Pre-Entrance Exam study guide if you haven't already. This will actually be the closest thing to the test that you will find. Study the prefix's, roots & suffix's and that will help a little and read some of their tips...basically, just read the entire vocab section!!! Take the tests (I usually use paper and not the book so I can take them again if necessary...I don't like writing in books). This will show you where you need improvement. And I guess other than that, there is not much you can do!!

Best of luck to you when you take the test!!! And remember, if you don't do well the first time, keep trying. This was my fourth time. Last time I got an 85% and I am hoping to get in the 90's this time...we will see.

She's right, I studied the NLN Pre-Entrance Exam study guide and if you have problems with math the best is to study that part as well through and through; the math problems on the study guide were harder that the ones on the test. Good luck to you all! :lol2:

I'll let you know. I pray we both did well.

Just wanted to give you an update on how I did...

I THINK I'M IN FOR SPRING '08!!!!!!!!!! :yelclap::yelclap::yelclap:

I was very confident in Math & Science, but not Language. For AD, I got 61 in Verbal (ugh), 94 in Math and 97 in Science!!! SO.....I GOT A COMBINED PERCENTILE OF 92!!! Composite score of 133. I am VERY happy with this score and would be VERY surprised if I didn't get into the program with it. I will know for sure by November, but I feel confident in saying I'm in (according to what they have had in the past for cutoffs).

Class of Fall - 2009, here I come!!! :nurse:

Also, does something change on the test results that they mail you? I can't seem to stop looking at it...as if I forgot something or there is something new on there since the last time I looked! :lol2:

How about you? Any results yet?
