  1. I'll let you know. I pray we both did well.
  2. She's right, I studied the NLN Pre-Entrance Exam study guide and if you have problems with math the best is to study that part as well through and through; the math problems on the study guide were harder that the ones on the test. Good luck to you all!
  3. I'm sure the test is over by now, but you have my support. Nothing but good vibes over here! I'm sure you did great.
  4. Good luck to you too!
  5. I agree.
  6. I feel just because someone has tested negative for illegal drugs one or how ever many times doesn't mean they are "drug free" If that was the case there would be no need for random drug testing.
  7. People who don't do drugs, don't ask those kinds of questions! I don't think people should try to dodge the radar and especially if you are considering becoming a nurse or if you're already a nurse. How can you care for someone if you are under the influence of some type of illegal drug or whatever.
  8. Well today was the day! I took the NLN in hopes of becoming a nursing student; I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be,but I didn't get a chance to answer all of the q's. (maybe I was to slow) I feel pretty good about the ones I did answer. Wish me blessings...I will keep the rest of you nurse hopefuls posted. XOXO!
  9. Wow! Do you have the link? I would love to check it out.
  10. Yes Troy in Troy has a BSN, but in order to receive your ADN, you have to attend Troy in Montgomery. I know all colleges have pre-reqs, but some required more than others. I know Wallace doesn't require as many, therefore getting through is faster, although i'm sure it's just as tough. Thanks for the information. What getting in hard? How long did it take for you to receive your acceptance letter? Is there a waiting list? How long is the program including pre-reqs? I'm sure that i'm flooding you with Q's, but it's so much easier to speak with former or present student than to speak with the staff.
  11. I'm torn between Wallace and Troy (both school of nursing). I'm planning to go to the Troy school of nursing, but i'm afraid I might not get in; i've had to start from the lowest math (0096) because i'm a bit rusty. I've told that @ Troy you can't take Anatomy I or any nursing courses (except nutrition) without taking Pre-calculus first, well I wouldn't have a problem with that if I didn't have to start at the bottom of the barrel and work my way up to pre-cal. Troy has switched their Biologys and Maths to semester long instead of A and B terms, therefore it ill be the summer before I can take pre-cal. I'm afraid they may throw my application to the side when they see that I had to start from the lower math and that i'm no where pre-cal i'm in 1100. At Wallace, you can go straight into A&P without having to complete the math first, therefore I can knock out math and A&P in the same semester. The tuition is cheaper, but the drive is longer (approx. 1hr) I'm completely confused. Is there anyone out there that attends Wallace that could possibly give me some insight about the school? Or anyone out there with any type of advice who has been through the same thing or similar with any school?
  12. Thxs!
  13. Thanks everyone for your responses. They were very helpful. Keep me and other hopefuls in your prayers. nwstdnt.
  14. Hello, I will be applying to the Troy School of Nursing (Montgomery) for spring '08, because I missed the deadline for fall '07. I'm taking my prerequisites this summer and fall at the TUM campus so that I may have those taken care of. Anyone out there know the approximate time it takes to complete the course for ADN? I'm a brand new student, i've never been to college in my life! Are the courses hard? How are the instructors? How hard is it to get accepted into the program? Please someone :rotfl: !
