Hello everyone,
I am taking NCLEX in about 2 weeks and have studied using Saunders Q & A and looked up information that I was not getting right or needed to have more info on. (I have not made it through the entire book yet).. I also bought the Kaplan NCLEX RN 2010 and the questions are more difficult and nothing like Saunders. As you can imagine, I am stressing and very anxious about taking the NCLEX and want to prepare the best way I can... Here are my options, if you can please give me your advice on how to best use these 2 weeks, I would greatly appreciate it...
1- Go through the questions on the Saunders Q & A CD.
2- Sign up for the Kaplan review class which starts Monday and do the Qbank and Trainers.
3- Purchase the Kaplan Qbank only and just do questions.
I think its too late to do the comprehensive online package..... but are the Kaplan review classes really worth the extra money?
I need to pass this the first time for me and for my job so please help
Thank you.

Hey! I'm also taking the NCLEX-RN in 2 weeks and I have been doing questions from Saunders Q&A and going over the material given to me during the Hurst Review. I am also using Davis's Success CD to answer some questions on there. LaCharity book and Alternative Questions book is very helpful and good addition to your studies if you get access to them. I got them at our local library so I wouldn't have to fork out the money for them. I have heard doing as many questions as you can is the key to this test. As the Hurst lady says, you have got to answer more right than wrong. That's what is going to be the deciding factor on whether you pass the NCLEX or not. Good luck to you!! Let me know if I can be of any more help.

Hi,
I signed up for Kaplan a week before the class, and the info that everyone else had several weeks prior, I did not have until class started. I felt like I was not sure what was going on. That and the fact that they would like you to have completed question trainers 1-3. I did not have access to the material on line till the night before class, so I did not have that done either. It was frustrating. Just a heads up. Another thing is they told us to wait until 24 to 48 hours before taking NCLEX to take the last question trainer 7, and that is the test that will predict how you will do on NCLEX. I just think you might not have enough time to utilize all the material you will have through Kaplan unless you reschedule your test date.
My class started June 1st and I have scheduled my test on June 30th, and I am considering moving it back depending on how I do on the next few trainers.
Good Luck to you!

thank you for this info, i only have one last question trainer to go and about only 300 questions on my q bank and i dont even have my ATT yet...so i will save them and just keep going over the questions i did and the ones i got wrong...
Thank you everyone for all of your replies... beautsbelle, thank you, they don't tell you that on the website.
I have a question about the QBank... if I purchase only the QBank ($299), isn't that 1,000 questions...so if I do at least 100 a day, I will be done by 10 days right? I am a little confused about why I don't have enough time. What am I missing?
Any other suggestions, advice, experiences? please keep them coming.

Based on what you proposed in your post, it sounds as if you are not ready. At this point you should be winding down your study, not talking about starting to use new resources. You might want to consider rescheduling to give yourself sufficient time to get ready. Good luck.
