Taking nclex 2/13/13

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi guys!

I will be taking nclex-RN in almost less than 24 hours. Today I plan to go over basics such as infection control, my PDA book, and lab values. I've done all I can do to prepare for this exam and now all I can do is to continue to pray, believe, and trust in God! I want to do things today that will help manage my anxiety I.e exercise, listen to inspirational music, and relax. I also plan on waking up early before my exam( around 5am) to exercise. Any last minute tips on priority or just the exam in general would be greatly appreciated as well as encouragement. Nursing is my passion and dream career!!! I and I pray by the end of this week I will be able to call myself an RN!!!!

Two things I learned taking the NCLEX today (75 questions and the good pop up, WOOHOO!).

1. Slow down. On a few questions I went so fast I know I did not choose the correct answer because just as I clicked "next" I saw the right answer. And on a SATA question I chose only one answer.

2. Exactly what a poster above said about the answer not being obvious on higher level questions. It's probably not the obvious answer.

Good luck tomorrow! You will be fine.

Thanks and congrats to you! Ive also done that multiple times on practice questions. I'm trying to remain positive at this point... That's all I can do!!! I hope I'll be coming back with great news tomorrow!!!!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes!!!! I'll keep you updated. I want to freak out at times but I refuse to let my nerves get the best of me. I cried yesterday and on and off since Ive started nursing school and have had plenty of restlessness nights. I'm trying something different today... I hope it helps!!!!

Trust me its best to relax the night before. I just took it today and got 75 questions and the good pop up. I'm still waiting for the "official" results. However, my nerves were under control once I got to the computer. The higher level questions were near impossible to know the "right" answer. I had alot of those narrowed to two.

That sounds like me! Two days before I took it, I had anxiety and was bursting into tears at any given moment all day! I felt like i was going crazy. It's all normal tho. :)

Don't freak out! Try to relax... And believe in yourself! I've done all I can do! I'm trying to remain calm so I'll be able to focus tomorrow. And tell yourself over and over you can do it! I want to freak out too, but I know it will not help. I pray that we will be RNs after we leave our test tomorrow!!!!

Thank you! :) we can do this! By tomorrow, we'll be RNs!!!!!

Best of luck! Breath!!

You can do it! I just took my nclex for lpn and I found out that I pass on January 29, 2013. So good luck

Good Luckļ¼

finished nclex rn in 2 hours with 75 questions. Did the pvt right after and it said delivery successful and got the good pop up! I pray it's accurate.

Hi Danaika! Thank you, I pray pvt is accurate. Right now the best thing you can do is RELAX, PRAY, and BELIEVE in yourself. Lightly look over the 30 page study guide and lab values( if you must study). If you start getting discouraged before or during your exam, say something positive to yourself. You can do it and Goodluck!!!! :)
