taking nclex soon, what are others averaging on readiness tests

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi,

I just finished college with my BSN and will be taking nclex in a few weeks. I took kaplan and thought the concepts were useful however I typically do not do very well with kaplan practice exams. I was told getting around a 60-65 on kaplan exams means you have over 90 percent chance of passing by the instructor.

I feel I do better with exams and questions from saunders, exam cram, and mosby's materials. I get 75-80 percent on a 75 questions exam. Does anyone else have silimar results?

On all of my readiness tests, I was getting like mid- 60's. I took my test on Thursday and will say that it is nothing like saunders or the HESI's in my opinion. I don't know that you can really ever be ready!

you'll have to let me know how you did! i feel like i have done a ton of questions so i hope i pass!

Well, good news! I passed! =] I will tell you that it seemed like the hardest test in the history of the world. Your therapuetic relaxation techniques will all be needed. I heard that if you get a lot of SATA, it means you are doing well b/c they are considered harder.... well I got TONS! I am not good at them statistically either. I took a break at 50 to use the restroom and pull myself back together. The computer shut off at 85ish. I really do wish you the best of luck!

I will say that I did few questions. I did the NCSBN course for 3 weeks and went over mostly content. There was so much in school that I either don't remember or wasn't covered. I think that course was beneficial to me.:redbeathe

congrats saruhdaniah!!! :yeah:

i take my exam soon and i have been getting 65-77% in kaplan trainers and i was getting discouraged but some people have told me they felt nclex was easier?

i'm extremely scared but i have done content review and tons of questions from various sources (saunders, mosby, kaplan) so i feel as if i've done everything right. i know that regardless of how much i study, there is no such thing as being 'prepared' as this will be the hardest test ever!

any advice!? :)

Rely upon your own judgement about your readiness rather than predictor tests. They have been known to go both ways for people.

I firmly believe that the NCLEX was harder than any test I have taken in my life. If you have done all those regualr questions already, then start doing only SATA Q's.

thanks btw! =]
