Hi Everybody,
I really enjoy reading through these forums. It helps me to know that there are other nursing students/graduates out there who are going through the same thing I am!!! This Saturday 7/21, I am taking the NCLEX up in the Chicago Financial District and I AM NERVOUS!!! but I have studied my butt off since I graduated in May. It seems that everybody from school is taking their NCLEX in July and so far everybody has passed! To say the least, I cannot wait to say my name with "RN" attached to the end :heartbeat These last 3 weeks I have been but nothing in the library doing content review, and doing a minimum of a 100 questions a day.
I have been using to prepare:
-NCLEX Exam Cram (Both the content book, as well as the 1,200 question mini book, both purchased from Amazon this last fall)
-Kaplan's NCLEX-RN Strategy, Practice & Review (Did practice test in the book as well on the CD) I scored a 70% on the CD Test..... Is this satisfactory enough for this weekend ???
-Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN App (Downloaded on ipod from apple store!! Has 1000 questions and it was FREE!)
-NCLEX 4000.
As of today, I am getting very fatigued from all the studying, and just wish this could be over with!!! I am scoring somewhat over 73% on all my diagnostic practice tests! I hope its enough!
To say the least, I can't believe this journey is coming to end, but yet in so many ways, it is just beginning! It seems like I just started school in Foundations in the Fall of '10, and I had NO idea what to expect & do. It is amazing how much one can transform and learn in a matter of two years. I never thought I would get through nursing school, let alone, graduate and then pass the Exit HESI on the first try. Ever since the first day of nursing school, it was drilled into our heads (NCLEX NCLEX HESI HESI!) The anxiety alone was enough to drive ya crazy. But here I am! I made it, and I just need that final step, which is coming up this Sat !!
Anyways! Thank you for stopping in & reading! Is anyone else taking their exams coming up this weekend/end of July or August??
Also, do you think its worth trying the PearsonVue trick? If I am taking my exam Sat afternoon, anytime after the exam the trick would work??? Thanks for clearing this up!!!
GOOD LUCK ALL MY FELLOW NURSES! LETS DO THIS AND KICK THAT NCLEX'S BUTT, LOL!!!! :w00t:

It sounds like you are studying well! :) I hope it goes well for you! As for the PVT trick I know that some people were able to try it as soon as they left the testing center and it worked for them! If you get the "records on hold" message then try again later as this does not mean that you passed or failed. I know you can do it! Remember to breath in between questions (from the belly!), get a good nights sleep before, and eat a good breakfast! Also keep God first and do it though His strength! I will pray for you!

You have studied more than I have, I bet you will do great. Im testing the nclex-pn on Friday. Most of my friends only took 4 weeks to study and passed, hope it works for me.
Thank you girls ! I really appreciate it! I will stop by later to let you know how it went on Saturday! And @Anne-- Is the NCLEX PN different from the Nclex RN? I really don't know much about it !
Ok, I will try the trick as soon as I get back! WOW--- I am going to be nervous doing this!!!! YIKES!

I was so nervous I couldn't sleep the night before. My test was scheduled for 8:00am the next morning and I did not sleep until almost 3:00am. Its understandable to be nervous, but I'm sure you will do just fine.
Good luck and Best Wishes
