I am wondering has any of you taken the NCLEX-RN as a non-graduate? i saw this option on board website. If yes, is it complicated to change your graduate status to Bachelor degree later?

never heard of it before......how can you take nclex as non graduate. you have to show you are a graduate of an accredited nursing school to the state board you are applying.
RN is either associate or bachelors ...... it is the same license. The ASN is no different than BSN except BSN is more focussed on leadership/research/and GUR requirements. ASN only requires prereq. directly related to nursing and is more technical. You dont have to change any licensing if you continue ASN to BSN.
Don't know if i answered what you were looking for but i am sure you have to graduate either from a community college or university to take the nclex. You have to verify you graduated to BON.

There are BON's that allow non-graduates (who have completed certain specified requirements) to test. Sounds like that is the situation in the OP's state.

I'm in CA and we're allowed to do this with our BSN program. I believe it works out that our community semester is required for the BSN, but not for the RN. So we can take the NCLEX pre-graduation if we want.
I called the BRN to find out about the licensing issue, and they said that as long as you send in your transcripts after you actually do graduate with a BSN that you're fine. Apparently it used to be a bit stigmatized to get your RN before graduation, but it's not such a big deal now.
I've sent in my paperwork to do this, and many of my classmates are planning to do it as well. I'd just rather get it over with! :)
