Taking NCLEX-PN as an RN student?

Is it possible to become licensed as an LPN during an RN program if you have completed clinicals at all? After this semester I'll have completed Mental Health Nursing, Med Surg, Pharmacology, Health Assessment and Fundamentals and I'm wondering if there is any state out there that I could become licensed in and then transfer my license to Maine.

Some states will permit it. NY no longer does except under certain cicumstances.

After you find out from your Board if this is an option in your state, you need to find out if your school will cooperate in this endeavor. There are some schools that do not sign off on the paperwork for students to do this. Ask at your department office.
