Taking NCLEX for the 2nd time Aug. 14 and need a study buddy!

i graduated this past may 09 and took boards june 24. i didn't pass and my job has agreed to work with me in hopes that i will stay with them. so, i'm working 8-5 monday thru friday and all i'm doing is studying until i retake boards august 14th!! i really need help! i have the saunders book and am going to get the 2010 kaplan review book this weekend, but i feel like i'm missing something important. my job has been so great in working with me and not only do i not want to fail for my own reasons but i don't want my work to think they wasted their time on me. i am a great nurse! i know that, but i don't know how to answer questions. i felt as though the nclex didn't reflect my knowledge and competency as a rn. any advice would be much appreciated!!

Studying in groups helps alot.

ujones00, I could meet with you at HCC some evenings to help you study. I found it helpful to go over NCLEX questions with others to hear how and why they chose the right answer.

nursetobe4, if you would like to meet with us maybe we could find a location that is mid-way.

@GadgitGurlRN: I just took my nclex for the 2nd time and failed! i'm so depressed and sad! I don't know what i'm doing wrong. I did Kaplan 2x but still failed. I can't afford to hire a tutor after paying for all the nclex fees. I live in Baltimore, but I'm willing to drive to wherever is most convenience for you. Thank you very much in advance.

I desperately need a study buddy. I failed the nclex 2x and i was studying by myself so i want to try something new. I live in the Baltimore area, but i'm willing to travel to DC or VA. OR if anyone can be kindly to help me. I can't afford to hire a tutor. Thanks!
