taking the nclex advice

hi to all. i have taken the nclex 8xs and my results were half near and half above the passing standard. 4 out of the 8 i had 265 ?s. Do you guys think that this next time i should try to pass the LPN nclex instead of the RN nclex to see if i can get thought that test. I don't know what to do anymore i want to start my career so bad i am losing hope and confidence. I love nursing and don't want to do anything else i just need some kind of hope please help thank you so much:banghead:It is just so depressing when i know my material and i am confident with hands on, and so great with my patients but can't pass a test i don't know what to do pleaseeeeeeee helpppppp

Are you allowed to take the LPN test??? I know in my state you are not. I worked with a lady who took it 8x and I made that exact same suggestion to her.

If you are able to sit for it, then by all means, yes, what can it hurt...

I wish you the best of luck, I could not imagine having to take NCLEX more than once, before I took it I ate breathed and slept NCLEX.

Have you ever gone back to your graduating collage to speak with your former advisor to see what they recommend...there has to be a key thing missing in your test taking skills, maybe they could have you take an assesmment test of some sort to see where you are lacking.

or maybe it is a case of very bad test anxiety, have you spoke with your Dr to see about taking something to help you relax?

Best of luck.

i am sorry to hear you are having trouble with RN boards. once was enough for me... you should talk to your school advisor and see if you can take LPN boards.. i know in my state you couldn't do that. is there a refresher course you maybe able to take to help you pass RN boards. i wish you luck in the future. don't ever give up .. you will pass boards in the future
