Taking the HESI entrance exam on Aug. 14th!!

Published

hi everyone! my name is beckie and i am taking the hesi entrance exam in a couple of weeks. i have been studying from the guide on the hesi website but i was just wondering what i should focus on from anyone who has taken it already. i am really worried about the A&P section only because i have only had A&P 1 so far. i am trying to teach it to myself and i am really stressing out about it. any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

really?? thank you soo much! so i dont really have to look at my anatomy book for extra info??

I found the study guide is great with telling you what will be on the test, but you will need to reference back to your a&p book to fill things in. The study guide has no diagrams or pictures and just gives you a basic overview of what to study.

exactly...what she said;)

use your anatomy book for any reference you may feel you need. I don't remember the test going to indebt into either one of the sujects. i found that it stayed along the lines that the book presented it. I too reference back to my A&P book and my chemistry book but didn't necessarily feel like i needed that much more information, but maybe it did help. but if you reference you A&P book then you can't lose, right? so why not use it! But one thing is for sure...the guide goes over exactly the kind of stuff that will be on the test. thats why its so good. no surprises. just the way i like a test.

No problem I am nervous too. You must fill me in since you are taking it before I do.

Beckie, or any of you other students taking the HESI entrance exam soon: could you please come back to this thread and give us your impression of it? I have to take the Reading, Math, Bio & Chem sections of the test, but not the A&P. I would love to hear what kinds of questions are in the Bio and Chem sections, because I am pretty nervous about them!!!

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL TAKING ENTRANCE EXAMS!

i will def. let you guys know how it was.....im sooooo scared to take it you have no idea!
