After MUCH procrastination, I am taking my first EC exam at 8am tomorrow--Health & Safety. :crying2:

I have passed the practice exams but am sooo nervous about the actual exam. Can anyone tell me how the grades are broken down for these exams (ie what constitutes and A, B, C, etc.)? Any tips for tomorrow would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I took mine about 2 months ago. I used the college network moduels and used study group 101 notes to prepare. The exam wasnt' to bad, Had 120 questions on it. I passed with a B. Just take your time and read the questions and you will do great. Let us know how you did! Good luck!

Thanks, Brenan. I am spending today preparing and will post my results in the am.

I just took this test on Friday. I mostly used studygroup101 material to prepare. There were 130 questions. It wasn't too bad. As far as grading...I averaged a B on all the parts - the lowest was 76% and the highest was 90% and I still made an A for the class. Good luck!

Do you know how EC breaks down what number grade is assigned A, B, C etc.. Also, what grade do you need to pass the class?

The percentages in each section are based on the graded and non-graded experimental questions that are given...of the 130 questions on the exam you do not know how mnay of those are non-graded questions. I think i had all high 70's and 80's on mine and the letter grade was an A. I used only the recommended textbooks to prepare.

As far as taking the exam, just remember to read the entire question and all 4 answers, then RE-READ the question...flag anything you are not sure on to reveiw at the end of the exam. Do not change your answer because usually your first gut feeling was right!

Good luck and let us all knwo how you did!

Need at minimum a "C" to pass the exam and recive your credits

Good luck with your test.

Update: I passed Health/Safety this morning with an A!!!!!! It was much easier than I expected. I am so motivated now I am scheduling Transitions for a few weeks from now. What a relief!!! Thanks for all of the support everyone.

I took mine the end of July, got a B. I felt the practice test was harder. You'll do fine if you did well on the practice tests.
