Hello,
I am new to allnurses but have been following it since nursing school. I am taking my boards tomorrow and I am FREAKING OUT!!! I graduated back in May and send my application which took 10 weeks to get a response!!!
I have been studying since I graduated!! I graduated top 5 of my Nursing class but I dont really think that matters now. I am very scared because it has been so long since I graduated. I took a review course back in June, have been practicing ATI and Prep U, which I did over 2700 questions with Prep u and all of the questions on the ati web site . I also did the app for Kaplan which had 1500 questions. I also asked my school to retake the ati predictor test which I took it online before graduating. When I first took it back in April, I scored 93% to pass and when I took it September 7th, nine days before my exam, It gave me 99% to pass. I also have a 6.1 level on prepu and scored a 76% on a 180 question exam from Kaplan that I took this morning. I cant even look at my book anymore. So, what do you guys think?
Please pray for me !! Any suggestions??? God bless and I pray and hope that I pass!!!
I'm sure you did well! How did you study for the exam?
I did a review course with "Anderson Nclex review", used Ati , prepu and a Kaplan app on my phone with 1500 question. I did over 4000 online and used the Ati book for review along with the book they gave us at our review. I wanted to take the test right when I finished but only got my att in the end of July, so I had to schedule it for September 16. I really did questions everyday , about 200 questions a day and spent 4 weeks reading my book. But to tell you the truth , I have no idea if I passed because the test was extremely hard and nothing like nursing school. I am just praying now!!
Hello my nursing friends,So I finally went this morning and I only had 75 questions!! They were extremely hard, no math and most of was SATA, priority, psych, kids, few maternity and cardiac. I remember the guy telling me that my test had an audio question to it but never got that question. Either I did horribly bad or extremely good. I walked out of there in tears, called my husband crying and my mother in law as well. She just prayed for me. I started a little before noon and finished at 1:55 pm . I didn't want to do the trick because I heard people saying that after the web site changed the trick is not reliable anymore. After reading a few posts here about the trick, I decided to do it but it took me to the payment and after I clicked submit, I got the following message with a red triangle, " Our records indicates that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." What does this means ??? Is this the good pop up??? HELP!!!! I' m having chest pain and already lost my credit card when I went to eat after the test!!
Thank you, lease let me know about this pop up and keep praying for me!!!!
There are only 2 possibilities for the test to shut off at 75 questions. You either did very well, kicked butt, and passed or you did horribly, the computer thought you really sucked at being a nurse, had no faith in you being a safe nurse, and should become a truck driver instead of a nurse.
From the Kaplan Book "If you are answering questions far above the level needed to pass or far below the level needed to pass, your exam will end at 75 questions."
You need to be realistic in your situation. Did you do well in a school with a high NCLEX pass rate? If you did then you passed. If you barely passed school and your practice tests were below 50% then you failed.
I'm sure you passed! You got good scores on your predictors! I took ATI and I passed nclex RN with 75Q most of them SATA, priority & drag/drop.
i felt like I knew nothing when I walked out of there . It had so many SATA and I was so hard. I was an A+ student in school, graduated top 5 but when I saw that exam I really don't think that these things mattered. I just pray and I prayed while taking it too. But I really don't think that I passed . I find out tomorrow. We shall see it. I just want to have my normal life back and I pray that I don't have to take this again! I don't even think that this new trick is accurate anymore. It seems like Everyone get the message after te hit submit.
Try to distract yourself and try to put positive thoughts in your mind. I understand how you're feeling and is totally normal. I'm confident that you pass. Those predictor scores are great, plus your test was giving you harder Qs meaning that you were doing good :) and it turned off @ 75Q! Those are all good sings!! If it makes you feel better I live in CA and my wait was 3.5 wks for results, but I felt ok because I had faith on all the signs. Plus if you're getting the good pop up, then there you go! Tomorrow will come, for today just distract yourself :)

THANK YOU for your kind words! I will try my best to distract myself. Will clean and cook and go to a CPR class today. I hope tomorrow will be a better day. I have faith but I had never felt this way in my life. This is the worst feeling ever and I'm so sorry you had to wait those 3 weeks . I admire you for your patience. Thank you !! I will let you know tomorrow . Meanwhile I pray that it's a good answer and if not, I pray for understanding of why I didn't pass after working so hard.
