have you taken the HESI A2 test?

Published

hey there! i took the hesi admission test the other day. it only consisted of math, reading, and grammar. i got a 95%. :yeah: i'm pretty sure i'll get accepted into the nursing program. :D

has anybody else taken the "basic" hesi test? how did you do? did you get accepted, or are you still waiting to find out like i am?

hi there! I take mine at the end of this month. Unfortunately, I have to take all of the sections. You did really well! Congrats! I have a question for you on the reading. Do you read the passage, and then it takes you to another page where the questions are (and you can't go back to re-read) or can you read the passage and answer questions at the same time? Thanks!

thank you! and i will have to take another hesi with all the sections as well. hehe.

for the reading section, the passage is on the same page as the question/answer choices. it's one question at a time though... and you can't go back. but the passage is always there. thank goodness! haha. the reading section was a lot easier than i thought it would be, too. good luck on your test! :D

why do you have to retake the hesi with all the sections when you stated earlier you already took it and made a 95. which by the way congrats thats a awesome score!! just curious if you are retaking it to apply for other schools or what.good luck on getting in!

u know, i had the same problem. but when i talked to elselvier, they said that i could not do that, as in take the test with only 5 sections and then re-take the hesi with all 8 sections for another school. i needed only 5 sections for uta and wanted to take it in order to focus my best. however, for twu, i needed all 8 and they said i better take all 8 sections at one time since they would not let me re-schedule if i only took the 5 for uta, if that makes sense. I hope they let you re-take the test for this testing cycle. personally, i dont think its fair. if they have a rule, then they should apply to all students.

Hello,

I took the "basic" HESI A2 exam last Friday and got my results via email. 100% in Math 89% in Reading comp, 90% in Grammar, 86% in Vocab, 80% in Chemistry, 84% in Biology, 80% in Anat/Phys. For my school only the first 4 count so those were the ones I studied. I used the recommended study guide by Evolve and also used some worksheets that I found to practice the conversion problems. I've been out of college for 2 years and was really worried about taking a test because of that. I'd be lying if I said I didn't study because I did. I studied math the most. I really think that if you follow the study guide you will be fine. Even for the vocabulary. All in all, I will be starting my nursing program at Long Island University in the fall!! I've waited forever for this moment!

Hi there, I actually just took my HESI this weekend did fairly well... I am also waiting to hear back from my intended nursing school! UTA very competitive program hope to do well.

Wow good job I am taking mine in april so I am verry nervous cuz that is my key to getting in my program
