Tacoma Community College (TCC) Winter 2025

Published

I'm starting this thread for those of us who've applied to the Winter 2025 TCC ADN program and are awaiting a decision. After reading that applicants with 9 of the 14 possible points didn't get into the Fall 2024 cohort (22 students), I'm feeling pretty defeated. I've spent the last two years building what I thought was a competitive application (e.g., excellent grades, high TEAS score, CNA experience) only for other factors beyond my control to be given more weight. I understand the intent, but it's frustrating that there are so few options in the south sound area. Anyone else feeling this way?

Has anyone heard anything? I feel like today they should let us know.... But I'm getting nervous we won't 😕

I haven't heard anything. It's been two weeks since the 'decisions in 1-2 weeks' email, so I would be surprised if we don't receive a decision or at least an update by the end of the day.

This is so frustrating for anyone waiting including myself

And another week goes by with not hearing anything back from TCC.

Hey all, in the same boat as you all so figured I'd comment. I've enjoyed reading everyone's commentary and glad we have this platform to communicate. I can't believe it's the 4th and still nothing yet! I'm hoping it's got to be today 🙏🏼

I'm not optimistic based on my point total and I'm pretty sure I'll have to reapply. I've kept my calendar clear just in case, but I also made a list of fun things to do if I don't get in that I wouldn't have time for as a nursing student. This gives me things to look forward to either way. Win-win. 😉

I feel like it's taking them longer to get through applicants than last cycle, the email prior to the 1-2 weeks said mid to late October & it's November 4th now 😔 anyways, if any of us end up getting accepted would you mind sharing the amount of points you qualified for tyty

Two more days! There must be a large number of applications to sort through with the same number of points. The cutoff seems to have been 9 points last cycle, but with fewer applicants maybe those of us with fewer points have a chance.

I'm hoping it's not just strictly off the point system.. point system is garbage in my opinion, let us share our story and purpose atleast LOL. Fingers crossed for us

Tomorrow is the day, hopefully they'll send the emails in the morning. It's too nerve wracking! Good luck to everyone- You guys got this!

For those that got accepted please share how much points you have or if they mentioned how they did tie breakers. It'll be a good thing to keep in mind for us reapplying in Spring!

I did not get in either 9 points and 3.8 GPA.

I didn't get in but was not surprised with fewer than 9 points. It was apparently very competitive again. Keep going and don't give up!
