Tacoma Community College 2016/2017

Hi allnurses,

Is there anyone out there applying to Tacoma Community College for Fall/Winter 2016/2017? Or that has applied last year? What is considered a competitive score for the point system? What was the scores they let in last year? I know 100 pts is the highest score but how low are they accepting into the program? Also I would like to know if your currently in the RN nursing program if you find it a positive or negative experience? I heard they have a new building and new equipment. Do you think it is a good program? Any feedback is appreciated. I saw previous threads on Tacoma Community College but would like some more recent comments. Thank you.

I've applied as well. I'm accepted into another program but it'll be an hour drive each way. I'm hoping to get into TCC so I have more study time and less drive time!

I applied as well. My total weighted score should be 90 out of 100, but they haven't posted the tallied scores on the lottery webpage yet. Has anyone heard anything? It should be coming up real soon, right? Like this week or the next? Judging from comments, people were finding out around this time last year.

Nice score loveangel! I did not score high. I talked with advisor and she said today or next Monday we should hear if you qualify for lottery and lottery should be drawn about one week later. So hopefully today we will hear good news about qualification. I hope we are picked!

Yeah! They posted student lottery numbers of qualified applicants! I see my number...yeah! So looks like lottery will be another week or so. I'm so nervous and excited!

I got an acceptance email today for admissions into TCC's nursing program, fall 2016. My application's score was 90 (missed the military points). Good luck, hope to meet you guys soon.

I got my acceptance letter too! I am accepted into the TCC's nursing program, winter 2017. Yay!
