Hi... I was just accepted into the TCC Nursing Program. Does anyone out there have any advice or information to offer? I'd appreciate hearing about the program, instructors, clinicals, etc. Thanks! Oh, one more thing... if you are aware of any specific information that would be beneficial to review prior to starting, please let me know.
Try sea mar community health center up in Seattle. I don't know where you live but I live in south king county and I going to get all my immunization done there. They have sliding scale fee so that you don't have to pay arms and legs for it. I asked health works, which is a private clinic and they asked for 100 dollars for a single hep b shot. Imagine getting all the 4 shots, that is 400 bucks!!! By the way sea mar is located near west seattle so if you live around Tacoma, the commute will be about 40 minutes or so.
hope this helps
I also got accepted, and I get all my medical stuff done at the Kent Community Health Clinic. I think they call it Health Point now. It is on a sliding scale. The student insurance is really a decent price for health insurance, and I believe they gave us a link via email. It's cheaper and you get way more for your money then if you just pick one up online. I will also be there on 8/31 and I can't wait!!:)
I hope it is worth applying. I talked to the nursing advisor. For 24 full time spots every qtr they have 200 applications in the fall, 90-100 in the winter, and 75 for full time/20 for part time in the spring. No they do not give preferential treatment for repeat applicants. And you can only turn in one app per term. This means that you will likely eventually get in, but it is possible to apply every quarter for years and never get in!

Thanks! I am working on getting my immunizations. But unfortunately my mom has lost all my childhood records and I have no health insurance. So I am trying to find somewhere cheap to either get the shots or titers for real cheap.
