Congrats to the people that got into Nursing school. I am going into my 3rd quarter this fall and I’m excited I’ll be half way through. I was an alternate at Highline winter and was excited when I got that call. But you guys will do good, but if you are rusty at A&P brush up. You need to know it for nursing school because NCLEX question sometimes are based off your knowledge of A&P and answering priority questions

That^. I'm also going into third quarter. Also, make sure you have a computer or a tablet, I tried to get away with just my heavy laptop and ended up buying a lightweight, long battery life tablet computer thing. Fo' real, it's necessary. Good luck guys!!

Thanks, I was wondering exactly this. I'm going to try to catch a black Friday sale and get a smaller laptop then what I have. Mine is pretty big and heavy.

@Cari1030 which school do you go to?

I also recommend one of these books and also if you have the money get UWorld to practice nclex questions. It’s 200$ but worth it

I got mine full price at Walmart for ~$200. It's like a Chromebook but it's a Windows computer instead, works great and the battery lasts 9+ hours.

I'm at TCC.

You guys will have access to a ton of NCLEX content via the Point as well. There's so much NCLEX style content in each class that I think it will help a lot in the end as well. I'm in the last cohort before all the changes so it's a little different, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Good luck guys, when does school start back up for TCC? I start back in 2 weeks the 23rd ugh!!!??? I was so tired by the end of last school year and I only went 2 quarter now I have one full year to do. Ugh I’m going to be dead by summer

@eveek79631 that’s good you have time to prepare. See me last winter I was an alternate and I didn’t get notice to start the program until 4 days before the quarter. Mind you I had started classes at the other school I was at Seattle central because I was retaking pre classes that expired for their program and taking additional ones they wanted I didn’t have. I was excited I didn’t have to go too far In retaking classes but what sucked it I had to drop all my classes and switch my financial aid over. It sucked so much. But I feel more prepared this year

Hey! I’m waiting on my (hopefully) acceptance for winter start. I talked to Theresa and she made it seem like they needed 15 people to fill the class, and only 16 people applied, with 2 ineligible. So now with the 14 people who are eligible, there will be a lottery to fill the 15 spots - I am soooo confused!!! I talked to her multiple times, for reasons that would take to long to explain, but she basically said I was in, but now I’m super nervous!!! Do you know anything about winter quarter start? Like did more people apply after the Oct 1st special deadline for winter?
