Anyone here applied/applying to TCC's Fall 2020 ADN program? I'm last minute scrambling to apply after getting waitlisted at Olympic College. (Loooong story, I actually got accepted but I somehow glossed over my acceptance email because I was expecting a letter sent via USPS still per their website. Not much I can do about it at this point.). Last I checked, I'm #5 on their waitlist/alternate list so I'm not holding my breath.

Anyway, I won't qualify for the lottery at this time due to not having taken Bio 160, but it sounds like they have actually had less than needed for a lottery for a couple application cycles. Therefore, you can apply without having all support courses finished! You basically are on the alternate list after all lottery applicants who didn't get selected. I think I'm competitive other than that, though all of my classes were taken at another school which loses some points. I figure it's worth a shot! I plan to take Bio 160 in the Fall so I can qualify for the lottery in the Spring, but I'm still also going to apply for Winter. Anyone else applying while missing a support course? I'm taking the TEAS tomorrow, I did decent on the two practice exams, so I'm crossing my fingers. Are you guys applying to any other schools? I'm applying to UW's BSN and ABSN as well once they're open.

WOW!, I'm so sorry all of you are in the this situation! It seems completely out of your hands imo. I hope if enough people complain, they will consider waiving the requirement.

Did you get an email today?? I got one saying that my initial application looks good, I just need to continue working on my NAC and licensing piece ugh

I did! It said the same thing that my initial application looks good but to work on my NAC. ? I just submitted application for Winter 2021 just in case. I wonder how they gonna work this out because like I said before, there are other people same boat as us (pretty sure). I’m planning to get the NAR but I think its still gonna be late for Fall 2020. ?

That’s a good choice, I think that will be our best option right now. I wonder if the nursing students are even doing clinical right now?! Or if the fall cohort will be? I know a lot of other schools are just doing everything online still.

I’ve called around to so many places to see if they’re hiring NAR’s in the area and I’m not having any luck!! Are you?! Please let me know if you know of any

Nope :( I emailed this one place but no response so I guess thats a no LOL I guess we gonna have to wait for the nursing homes..

So I just found out there’s a nursing home called Orchard Park that’s hiring NAR’s. Not the best reviews on Google but thought I’d let you know. My CNA instructor told me she got the go ahead to continue clinicals at the end of next month. So, I guess I’ll just wait until then since I know there’s no way I can be in the fall cohort anyway. *sigh

Yeah maybe I should just wait too.. honestly, even if I do get a job, I don’t think I will be able to finish the clinical AND get the certification by end of this month.. ?

It was hard for me to accept it tbh LOL. We work super hard to meet all these deadlines and then Covid showed up. Ugh. Everything happens for a reason I guess! Your time will come!! ❤️

Hi! Any updates? I’m keep checking testing center to see if they are open but still closed? I can’t take the test but just wanted to see how they gonna start scheduling.

Hi! Still haven’t heard anything ? I was told that once you complete your clinicals then your CNA instructor is supposed to send you a link to schedule the test. Did you hear that as well? Because when I look on Pearson vue it looks like they aren’t even scheduling right now
