Nursing metaparadigm means major nursing concepts, which are human being, environment, health, nursing.
Now you look at AACNs synergy model which is here
The AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care
and find out how the synergy model addressed the four major nursing concepts. Basically the relationship between the nursing metaparadigm (concepts) and the synergy model.
The synergy model has the assumption that "Synergy results when the needs and characteristics of a patient, clinical unit or system are matched with a nurse's competencies."because they feel that the patient needs drives the nurse competencies.
On the webpage above they list the different aspects of the synergy model. When you look at the metaparadigm "human beings" and compare to what the synergy model says about the importance of patients and participation in care (shared decision -making) you probably find that this is the way the AACN addresses "human being". now you just do the same for all metapradigm.
Hope that helps. Make sure you structure your paper, which will make it easier. I remember vaguely that I had to do a homework on the metaparadigm in relation to something and it helped me to structure the paper before writing it like intro, metaparadigm with explanation, in your case AACN synergy model broad explanation , under sections for all four metaparadigms, conclusion. Something like that to keep you on track.

I have been researching different elements about the AACN's synergy model. However, I cannot seem to find resources that directly address how this defines the four categories of the nurse's metaparadigm. Does anyone know of any resources I can review that transparently clarifies this relationship?
