Hello everyone,

I just had my HR interview today and I am scheduled to have interview with Hiring Manager tomorrow. I am so excited as I have wanted to move to Washington for the longest time. Any tips for the interview tomorrow, this is a phone interview as I am in Ohio at this time?

Okay well I got the job! :) So Excited, waiting for the pre-boarding information and the relocation specialist to contact me, never had relocation assistance before anyone able to give me a quick heads up on what they do?? More specifically what Swedish Edmonds does? Any help would be appreciated!

Swedish Edmonds used to be known as Stevens Hospital. It is located in Edmonds, about 20 miles north of downtown Seattle. It is a small community hospital of just over 200 beds. It has recently undergone an expansion of labor and delivery, the ED and oncology and there are longer-term plans to build another med surg tower. Stevens had difficulty competing with the much larger Providence hospital 15 miles up the road, came into financial distress and was acquired by Swedish, which was subsequently acquired by Providence.

Thank you for the information.

Can you tell me more about what your experience was with the relocation assistance?

Also, any advice for the interview? Just had my HR interview and I will have my unit specific interviews scheduled late July or August.

Thanks!!

Swedish Edmonds is pretty busy. Beds have been full most of the summer so far. Mostly decent doc's (at least the surgeons). It's a union hospital, and a closed shop so you'll have to join. You can look up the contract on the seiu1199nw.com web site. Orientation is 4-5 days long in downtown Seattle. We use EPIC for our EMR. Can't help you with relocation info, as I was already living here when I hired on.

What department will you be working?
