Hi everyone!! I applied to Southern Westchester Boces and I am scheduled to take my entrance exam next Thursday. I am looking for anyone who has attended or has recently been accepted to the school. Or even anyone who knows anything about the test and scores needed in order to get accepted. I'm getting very nervous about the exam and any advice would be appreciated. I am curious to know how students are accepted - what scores are they looking for? Thank you!
Yeah, I'm planning on doing the same thing as you, Stephanie. I'll work for a year and do the Helene Fuld program. I just have to work to keep my grades above 85%. Being that the program is so intense, I'm not sure if I can pull it off!
Diane, Happy to finally hear from you. I haven't heard from you in a while either and was starting to worry! lol.
i was talking to my mom (she's an RN) and she has a coworker that did the bridge program at Helen Fuld. And she did not have to work a year first. its either you maintain an 85 average while at BOCES and bridge right away or you fall below 85 and have to work a year. she maintaned above 85 and bridged right away.

My plan is to go through with the SW BOCES program and get my LPN. After getting that, I'm not sure if my husband and I will be moving or not. So if we do, I'll just start a 2 year RN program wherever we go. If we don't, I'll work as an LPN for 1 year (required by the bridge program), then do the Helene Fuld bridge program.
