i would like to know how to apply for IP. i 'am here california and may i am given six months to stay and it will end on march 8 of 2009. and my visa is going to expired on april 11 2009. do i have the chance to have an IP here? thanks you

What we are trying to tell you is that your chances of getting the tourist visa renewed are slim to none as a start. You must have extenuating circurstances to be able to do that. Next, your problem is that we do not have any visas available for you to adjust your tourist visa to, and you cannot do any type of work with the tourist visa. This is also one of the reasons that CA will not even issue a license to you without the SSN# and you cannot get that with a tourist visa.

Please take the time to do some reading here concering the retrogression. And do be aware that since you have written the NCLEX exam you do not qualify for the IP in any state. That is only for those that have not written the exam until they do.

There is absolutely no way that you are going to be able to remain here and get a job and start working. Best of luck to you, and I do wish you a safe flight home.
