Just thought I'd ask everyone what classes they are enrolled in for the fall (and a couple of other questions)! I'll go first... you can copy and paste the following, if you'd like, and fill in your own answers :)
CLASSES for FALL 2006: A&P 1 and Intro Chemistry
CLASSES for SPRING 2006 (if you know): hopefully A&P 2 and Psych
PROGRAM: ADN
WHEN STARTED PRE-REQs: this is my first semester
WHEN YOU PLAN TO APPLY for CLINICALS: hopefully in the spring (applying for Fall 2007)
PROJECTED GRADUATION: hopefully Fall '08 ... if not, then Spring '09.
MOST NERVOUS ABOUT: balancing family and school (I have a husband and two young sons - ages 1 and 3); chemistry (haven't had that course in sooo long!)
WANT TO BE A NURSE BECAUSE: It's a rewarding, life-long, respectable, well-paying degree with lots of variety.
YOUR INSPIRATION: God, my family, and the nurses in my family (5 nurses and a CRNA ... all love their jobs).
PREVIOUS JOBS/CAREER: TV promo producer; public relations coordinator; high school English teacher; stay-at-home mom/freelance writer

classes for spring 2006 (winter): hopefully nursing, but again, probably just some retakes for gpa purposes
program: b.s.n.
when started pre-reqs: [color=#483d8b]september 1995
when you plan to apply for clinicals: [color=#483d8b]spring 2007, but probably won't be accepted till fall 2007
projected graduation: spring '09.
most nervous about: trying to keep sane and balance family with school, doing well (i second that)
want to be a nurse because: because i have always found myself "going back to that". even with my misguided attempts at "just finishing school" the first time with a useless business degree.
your inspiration: my husband and daughter. he is my champion motivator and livey is just my reason for being/doing/trudging forward.
previous jobs/career: ccs monkey, real estate paralegal and all children's teammember, i love working for this hospital, even if i do make peanuts in the meantime.

WHEN STARTED PRE-REQs: spring 06
WHEN YOU PLAN TO APPLY for CLINICALS: fall of 07 for spring 08
PROJECTED GRADUATION: spring 2010
MOST NERVOUS about: I have four children 9 and under and homeschool two of them. balancing all of that with four online classes
WANT TO BE A NURSE BECAUSE: This may sound cheesy but I want to help people. I have seen too many people in my life criticize nurses and doctors and not know a whit about what they were speaking. I want to improve on things that have irritated me about nurses that I've experienced in the past and expound upon what I have appreciated in nurses that I've experienced in the past.
YOUR INSPIRATION: The nurse at the health department who told me that my children could catch Hepatitis B from sitting on a toilet seat and then informed me that SHE was the RN (it still makes me mad that someone would behave that way), I never want to be that misinformed while making someone else feel that stupid. The nurse that worried with my IV all night long when it refused to stay in and was determined to blow, I want to be able to show that sort of compassion for others. Finally, my children, because I want them to see that I am an intelligent person who they can have pride in and that they too can go to college and obtain a degree if they want to.
PREVIOUS JOBS/CAREER: I was a secretary for five years and then quit to be a sahm. I am now a sahm, teacher of two, physical/occupational/speech therapist of one, and wife to one.
Wow, that sounded sort of like an award acceptance speech lol.
CLASSES for FALL 2006: Not sure yet. I have completed my prereqs and am waiting to get into the nursing program.
CLASSES for SPRING 2006 (if you know): Hopefully my first set of clinicals and nursing lectures.

WHEN STARTED PRE-REQs: Technically 1998 but started full steam ahead one year ago (3 semesters total)
WHEN YOU PLAN TO APPLY for CLINICALS: July 26, deadline is Sept. 1
PROJECTED GRADUATION: December 2008
MOST NERVOUS about: Balancing family, work, and school while in school and messing up once I actually become a nurse.
WANT TO BE A NURSE BECAUSE: I had cancer as a teenager and learned how comforting and how necessary a nurse is. I love people and I would like to provide that level of comfort to others.
YOUR INSPIRATION: My daughters....They see me growing into a more capable and compassionate person and they push me towards my goals. Before a big test, my 6 yr old prays with me...they are sweet...I love them!!!
PREVIOUS JOBS/CAREER: Fast food, factory, meat and seafood clerk at a retail chain, Hotel front desk clerk, child care provider, and hopefully soon I will get a job as a care partner at a local hospital.
classes for fall 2006: nutrition fundamentals, intro to psychology, basic statistics (+ lab), and medical terminology.
classes for spring 2007: intro to general, organic & biochemistry II (+ lab), principals of microbiology (+ lab), intro to nursing, and intro ethics ( =/ )
