Support Thread WCCCD Western 2009 students

Published

I thought we could start a thread to help each other out with questions or emergency lab partners. Just things that we might want to discuss about this new adventure we are starting. I already picked up two books to start my reading I know they wanted the last class to have some reading done before the first class. Hope to hear from some people. Have a great holiday and get some rest, we will need it for the first semester.

Does anyone have a copy of the reading assignments for the first 7.5 weeks? If so, can you post it on here? Thanks in advance!

Congrats guys!! I have hear the excitment thru your post. I was in your shoes 2 years ago at this very time. I Had M.D for Foundations theory and the C.P/M.D combo for Foundations lab. For the second 7.5 weeks I had M.D for Med-Surg theory and Lyn D. at Annapolis. If you have M.D for theory, just follow her syllabus. She will give you all of the information you need, it will be up to you to use your critical thinking skills to use it on her exams.

I still remember my first exam, check off, patient, my first moment walking into the hospital. injection, ......wow, time will fly.

Hi everyone, I have pod 12. I am so nervous!!! I still need to get my patch, books, and my Hep B (2nd) shot done.

Wanted to say hi to everyone, and good luck.

Hi,Lenae05 we are in the same pod so I will see you soon, but I was just giving the thread a bump. Does anyone have the reading list from last semester? If so, please list it. Thank you and Happy New Year!

I am pretty sure you can get a reading list from the nursing office. I did not get one but some one read it off to me, for one class anyway

I was told by someone that you could go to the nursing office and pick up a copy. I can't make it out there while they are open. They should have offered that that orientation. That would have been nice.

Mello1177 are you able to post what reading assignments you have?

I am at the Northwest campus so I cant say for sure the assignments are the same, but here goes:

Week 1-ch 1,2,3,6,16,17,31,32,44

week 2-ch 10,11,12

week 3-ch 13,14

week 4-ch 4,5,25,26

week 5-ch 43

week 6-ch 27,24,41,18

week 7-ch 45,34,48,49

from the Fundamentals of Nursing book

Thank you. I am going to try and make it to the nursing office but I live in Belleville and work in Ann Arbor. I dont think I will have the time to make it there any time next week before they close. I would think that the reading assignments would be the same if not very close. Again, THANK YOU!!!

I will go up there Monday if the weather allows me to, I live in Wayne but I would like to get some reading done ahead of time. I will post the reading assigments Monday evening.

Here is some information for Nur 111 that I got from someone that just finished her first semster.
