Hello everyone,
I realize when I had to write my nursing exam how much pressure I experienced about the whole thing. I wrote mine in June 2010 and passed in first attempt but still remember when I walked out the exam, I was not sure what would be the result.
The purpose of this thread is supporting those nursing students who are planning to write their CRNE in upcoming June. Students, please feel free to share your concerns and questions. Nurses please support those students with tips for study.
Just couple of reminders before we get started:
1. Please do not discuss specific questions or any content tested in CRNE.
2. Please read other threads for more information as well. Other threads give you valuable information and be smart and take them into your advantage.
3. Please stay on topic.
4. Please use proper grammar and spelling.
Thank you all.
I live in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and still no mail for me ...but the mail man did not come today at all...I've been sitting today by my window and waited for him to come. He would usually come between 11:30 and 1:30 pm , but unfortunately, the day I really need him to come , he does not show up !!. Oh boy, this waiting is killing !!!!
congratulations!!:yeah: Now you can breath and enjoy the remaining summer..
I just got mails but nothing from CNO yet.. Arrrggh.. it's killing me..
Yeah no kidding! Hehe.. Although I am getting ready for the nclex on august 31st. The wait is horrible. A few of my friends still haven't gOtten their mail in yet either. I'm in Windsor ..some in Toronto haven't heard anything either. Fingers crossed! Post in when you hear the good news!
hi sashad,"""hi mud, how do you know you failed by 6 points? the rn exam doesn't tell you how many points you fail by from what i understand, it just says you fail. how did you get that information """"
they tell if u r on borderline...i aslo failed by just 2 points....110/112....so disappointed...and i already aplied to rewrite in october,2011..........
my score was the most disappointing and frustrating.. just by one point, i remember changing an answer before i submit my answer sheet..i noticed that those who felt bad after the exam, were the ones who passed. and those who felt that the exam was easy, failed.
oh well, i can't turn back time now, need to move forward... i congratulate those who passed, i envy you.
I just got my mail ...and..... I PASSED !!!! Wohoooo !!! I am soo happy !!!! THIS feels amazing !!! :nurse:
:yeah:
And I do remember my post right after the exam, I thought I failed the exam , and I was preparing myself to rewrite in october ....well ....THANKS GOD , I dont' have to !!!! Congratulations to those who passed :hpygrp:
and those who did not this time, remember that you can do it !!! Never let yourself to give up !!! Go for your dreams and stay strong even in the most difficult situations !!! We'll keep our fingers crossed for you in october or in february , whenever you decide to rewrite !!! Good Luck to you guys and all the best in your life long career !!! :redpinkhe
Thank you everyone for the support and valuble advices !!!! :ancong!:
my situation was a bit curious. i moved from bc to ontario during the postal strike and only recently updated my address with crnbc and rerouted my mail. that means that the letter will be mailed to the wrong address or will be mailed here later.
nevertheless, i received an email from crnbc stating that they updated my status from provisional to rn... as a result i'm pretty sure i passed. following is an excerpt:
we are pleased to inform you that you have been issued practising rn registration by crnbc. this email is your official notification of your updated registration status; you will not be sent a registration card in the mail. please verify your registration online at http://www.crnbc.ca/pages/nurseverification.aspx .
for the people who didn't passed the first few times: please, please, please, hang in there. remember how great you are, deep down inside and what a contribution your work will bring to the community.
meanwhile, the cno is not accepting my application without a copy of the "passing" letter from the cna.. i wish they had a way to simply contact them instead.
anyhow, after 5 years and a half of courses, it feels good to be done.
"to absent friends, lost loves, old gods, and the season of mists; and may each and every one of us always give the devil his due"

i've discovered the cno is quite picky with what they will and will not accept. for example, be sure you send them the original copy of your police check. congrats on passing the crne and welcome to ontario :)
I've received my envelope yesterday and it was a fail. I got 111/112. This was my second attempt. The first time I got 110/114 in Feb 2011. I'm losing hope. What should I do? I've signed up for CRNE prep course in Sept. I've started studying already. After all the studying, waiting, disappointments, I'm starting to feel a bit suicidal.

I finally got my results, I passed!!
Thank goodness! I honestly was so unsure and started convincing myself that I had failed. It feels great to be wrong! Hang in there those who are still waiting, try and do things to keep your mind off of it or it will drive you crazy! It helped me survive the weekend!
