Hi all. This is my first post on here. I am desperately seeking others who have been through this program or who are interviewing for it for this year. I applied 1/18 to Stony Brooks PMHNP program and received email today to schedule interview.
ANYONE OUT THERE RECENTLY GO THROUGH THIS PROGRAM? I'd like some insight on the interview process, how long it took to get acceptance/decline letter... and I'm also wondering why I was asked to bring my laptop? Is this something everyone is asked to do? It's NBD... but just seemed odd to me.

Hi, liv. I have been checking my email every day. Decided to check this thread and found so many posts... Congrats to those of you who have been accepted! I guess it's not meant to be for me, at least not this year. Like I said before, I feel that I was underqualified, during the interview, although my GPA is perfect. No psych experience. sigh...
Liv, we must be friends, I agree. But, you know how things go - people connect momentarily, and then go on their separate ways. I'd love to continue to be in touch... I'll go triple check my emails and trash folders...
Hi informal emails about acceptance and save the dates for orientation went out about two weeks ago (3/9). Officially acceptance emails are going on between late March early April I was told. I would imagine waitlist and denials will go out by then too. I'm sorry you haven't heard anything.
Hello All! I also applied to the PMHNP and have yet to hear. I actually applied in August and interviewed in November so this has been a very long wait for me. Congrats to those of you that got in!! I emailed Anita just now because if it was not for this thread I stumbled upon, I would be very much in the dark about admissions decisions. Hopefully denials, waitlists and official acceptances come soon.
Dollface4k6: Did you receive and email on March 9? Some of us relieved informal notice of acceptance from the department. Now we are waiting for formal notification of acceptance from the admissions Department. They did say the all notices would be going out in late March early April.

Hello! I didnt receive anything that I know of! I saw you guys got save the dates for orientation and if I did,I deleted it on accident LOL which is always a possibility. I just wish I would hear sooner rather than later so if I didn't get in that I would know! I luckily don't have to make travel arrangements since I live local to SBU but feel bad for those who live further and are sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to hear!
