Hi everyone,

I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2021. Being that the application period just opened, I’m sure we can all benefit from sharing information in regards to the process.

If it says file forwarded to program for review then I think you’re fine. I think what they said during the info sessions was that it will not be sent to the program if you have too many classes outstanding.

My interview tomorrow I just received another invite and now we are two people being interviewed. So I guess it can be a group interview as well

There was an information session this morning. They said the program has 100 seats if anyone was wondering

This might be a long shot, but is anyone applying that falls below the 3.0 GPA requirement? I am debating if I should or not I fit all the other requirements but my undergrad GPA is still haunting me LOL.

Turns out people already were accepted, yet people who applied around the same time still have not heard anything back.

If you can spare the application fee, I would say go for it. You never know and the worst that can happen is you get rejected

I applied in October and I am freaking out they haven’t gotten back to me

Did you only go to one school? I was reading the thread from last cycle and someone got in with an undergrad GPA of 3.09. If anything, I would try to retake some classes so that your GPA will rise. That way, your GPA meets the requirement and you can explain what happened in your personal statement. They are strict when it comes to getting the 80% min of reading and math. So, I would assume they are strict when it comes to the GPA requirement as well.

Wait how did you hear people were accepted? I don’t think anyone in this thread has heard back with a decision yet.
