SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University ABSN 2021-2022

Published

Hi everyone,

I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2021. Being that the application period just opened, I’m sure we can all benefit from sharing information in regards to the process.

Best of luck to those applying!

Thank you. I applied in December! Pick up any number anytime. They called me close to 8pm

Thanks for the reply! I will be on the lookout, haha. Good luck with your interview!

Thank you. They scheduled me for Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30. I wonder what they are going to ask for an hour. I'll let you know how it goes

It was a 347 area code. I have been picking every phone call since I applied just in case hahaha but I honestly never thought they would call at 8pm

Hopefully you do. They might even send it before the interview? Let us know how it goes. Good luck! You got this!

Hey,

Would anyone mind posting their stats ?

Good Luck to everyone!

Congrats to everyone getting interviews! I'm concerned now, because my application says it's "on hold until I upload my Spring grades" with a due date of 5/25/21 - but I am doing my final 2 sciences right now (self paced) and am afraid I won't have both done by then. I'd heard they take applications with pre-reqs still in progress so I'm confused. All other portions of my application are complete, so does anyone know if they take my application off hold with just one science remaining if I finished one and uploaded that grade? I'm so confused despite having emailed them and now getting a little discouraged. For reference I have everything done but Chem and A&P 2 (both are in progress). I figure the best place to ask is here since everyone seems to be very helpful, and I can't find this answer from prior cohort threads or I wouldn't have asked ? Thank you!

When I spoke to admissions about remaining classes when applying they told me applications are put on hold if you have more than one science class remaining. So I took a science class online in the Winter in order that my application would be considered.
